Saturday sees the Nash play host to Boston United as we look to extend our run of a record 9 games unbeaten.
Opposition watch:
Boston United sit 17th in the national league north. A win on Saturday would make them mathematically safe in the 6th tier for another season. By their standards, this has been a poor season for the Pilgrims after the side suffered defeat in last years playoff final against York City. Boston aren’t in bad form heading into this one after picking up 7 points in their last 5 games. These vital points have been key in dragging them away from the relegation zone. The teams last played back in November with Curzon taking home all 3 points thanks to a Josh Hancock goal in a narrow 1-0 win.
Team news:
The Nash have a couple of doubts going into Saturdays clash at The Tameside Stadium. Hayden Campbell limped off on Tuesday at Darlington after a strong challenge from the Darlo full back. Sam Walker is also a doubt after limping off in the warm up against Blyth, consequently missing that game and being replaced by Hancock.
The only confirmed absentee for the visitors on Saturday is on-loan centre half Sam Sanders. Their gaffer, Ian Culverhouse, has spoken saying he will also be checking the fitness of full back, Ethan Sephton ahead of the game after he missed last weekends defeat to Fylde.
Nash watch:
Curzon come into this one in great form after a run of 9 games unbeaten. This form has led to the Nash being just 1 point of the playoff positions with 3 games to go. Saturdays game will be the 2nd this week for Lakeland’s men after our brilliant 2-0 victory away at Darlington on Tuesday night.
Make sure you get yourselves to the Tameside Stadium on Saturday afternoon for what is bound to be a great game as Curzon look to reach the National League North playoffs for the first time in our history!
