Curzon vs Barnet match preview

Nearly a year on from the end of our previous FA Cup campaign, The Nash are ready to go again in the 1st round proper.

Opposition watch:

Barnet are in brilliant form at the minute and find themselves 2nd in the National League. Their last loss came on the 16th September against Rochdale- in their last visit to Greater Manchester, a possible good omen for the Nash. If Curzon are to get a result on Saturday afternoon, the defence will have to keep striker Nicke Kabamba quiet. The Bees' talisman has scored 13 goals in just 9 league games so far and scored a hattrick in their 4th qualifying replay against Aveley.

Team news:

The Nash will have goalkeeper Cam Mason and centre back Devon Matthews back available for selection after they served their one game suspensions in last weeks 1-0 loss to Chester. Miles Storey is expected to miss out with a hamstring strain picked up in the Manchester Premier Cup victory against FC United of Manchester.

Nash watch:

Curzon are currently winless since our victory in the previous round of the FA Cup with losses to Hereford, Scarborough and Chester coming since the 1-0 win against Tamworth. The Nash haven't been short of chances in these games however and Craig Mahon's men will be hoping for a change of fortune's against Barnet. Mahon has downplayed Curzon's chances in an interview with the club saying "no one expects us to win but being an underdog is what Curzon's all about."

Its a massive game for the club as we look to reach the second round for just the third time in our history. Make sure you get there to support Craig Mahon and the lads on Saturday afternoon!
