Tuesday night will see Darlington make the long trip down from the north east as they take on The Nash in the National League North in what is bound to be a very cold night at the Tameside Stadium. It’s a game that the visitors will come into as favourites due to their impressive season so far. The Quakers currently sit third in the table- just 3 points behind leaders Brackley Town. The same can’t be said for The Nash however with Lakeland’s men picking up just 4 points in the past month- leaving us 18th in the league. It hasn’t been as bad as results may suggest with great football being played in many of those games where points were dropped.
The visitors come into this game off the back of a 2-2 home draw at home to Kettering Town on Saturday. This has to give The Nash confident going into tonight’s game. With Kettering sitting below us in the table, we have to see this as a chance to do a similar job to them and nick valuable points off Darlo.
Curzon’s will be without Hobbo, for tonight’s fixture, with the striker still serving a suspension due to his red card against Blyth. We will also be missing Ryan Hall who hasn’t played since picking up an injury in our 0-0 draw with Cambridge United a month ago.
A key dangerman for the visitors is number 9 Jacob Hazel. The striker scored 2 goals in Saturday’s draw with Kettering, a performance which saw him make it into the national league north team of the day.
It’s bound to be a great game down at the Tameside Stadium tonight so get down there and take advantage of some of the great offers the club have on- all of which can be found on the clubs official Twitter account.
